Responsibilities
- Conduct rapid field investigations of disease outbreaks and public health emergencies
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify transmission patterns and risk factors
- Coordinate with healthcare providers, laboratories, and community partners
- Develop and implement containment strategies for infectious disease threats
- Document investigations with detailed reports and evidence-based recommendations
- Provide public health education and risk communication to diverse populations

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of field investigation or public health experience
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or eligible within 6 months
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings/weekends during emergencies
- Strong interpersonal skills for community engagement and conflict resolution
- Experience with disease surveillance systems (e.g., NC DETECT)
