Responsibilities
- Manage official city records, ordinances, and council minutes with meticulous attention to detail
- Oversee election administration and voter registration processes
- Coordinate public records requests and ensure compliance with open records laws
- Administer oaths of office and maintain official city seals
- Support City Council meetings through agenda preparation and documentation
- Implement records management systems for long-term document preservation
- Serve as liaison between city departments and the public regarding official records
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- 5+ years of municipal government experience with records management
- Proficiency in Texas Public Information Act and local government regulations
- Advanced certification in Municipal Clerkship (ICMA or equivalent)
- Exceptional written communication and document preparation skills
- Experience with electronic document management systems
- Ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record
