Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain official city records, ordinances, and meeting minutes with meticulous attention to detail
- Provide exceptional customer service to residents, businesses, and city officials via phone, email, and in-person inquiries
- Coordinate public hearings, council meetings, and special events including agenda preparation and documentation
- Process permits, licenses, and official documents ensuring compliance with municipal regulations
- Support departmental operations through data entry, report generation, and record management
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement city initiatives and policy updates
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in Public Administration preferred
- Minimum 2 years administrative/clerical experience in government or public sector
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and record management systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to handle sensitive information
- Strong organizational abilities with demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy
- Knowledge of Texas municipal regulations and public records management practices
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
