Responsibilities
- Administrative Support: Process and manage incoming applications, correspondence, and documentation with high accuracy.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and confidential electronic and physical records in compliance with government regulations.
- Client Communication: Assist constituents and visitors by answering inquiries and directing them to the appropriate departments.
- Data Entry: Enter and update data into various government databases and management systems.
- Compliance: Ensure all work adheres to established federal and state privacy laws and agency protocols.
- Meeting Coordination: Schedule and organize meetings, prepare agendas, and take detailed minutes.
- Special Projects: Support senior staff with ad-hoc research and project-based tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate’s degree preferred.
- Experience: No prior government experience required; entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen or eligible for government security clearance.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic computer navigation.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with the public.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and the ability to follow complex instructions and procedures.
- Reliability: Ability to work full-time, Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime if necessary.
