Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze federal data systems and network traffic during the night shift to ensure operational continuity and security.
- Perform routine security audits, compliance checks, and vulnerability assessments on remote workstations.
- Respond to urgent alerts, system failures, and escalations in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of all night operations, incidents, and resolutions.
- Collaborate seamlessly with day-shift teams via secure communication channels to ensure smooth handovers.
- Adhere strictly to all federal government security protocols, privacy regulations, and internal policies.
- Assist in the implementation of new remote work technologies and software updates.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: United States Citizenship is required for this government role.
- Schedule: Must be available to work a full-time night shift schedule (e.g., 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM or 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM).
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in IT support, government contracting, or a related technical field.
- Hardware: High-speed internet and a dedicated, quiet home office setup are mandatory.
- Software: Proficiency with MS Office Suite and experience with government-specific software (e.g., JPL, SharePoint, or DoD tools).
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance is a plus.
