Responsibilities
- Research and identify grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government agencies aligned with our mission
- Develop compelling grant proposals, budgets, and reports that articulate program impact and financial needs
- Cultivate relationships with program officers and funding partners to increase success rates
- Manage a portfolio of 15-20 active grants with strict deadlines and compliance requirements
- Analyze funding trends and provide strategic recommendations to leadership
- Collaborate with program teams to gather data and impact metrics for proposals
- Maintain accurate grant tracking systems and reporting databases
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field (Communications, Nonprofit Management, English, or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of professional grant writing experience with documented success securing $500K+ annually
- Portfolio demonstrating 10+ funded grants from diverse sources (foundations, corporate, government)
- Expertise in researching funding opportunities using tools like Candid, GrantStation, or Instrumentl
- Strong analytical skills for budget development and program impact measurement
- Exceptional writing ability with attention to detail and persuasive storytelling
- Experience with nonprofit accounting principles and compliance reporting
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
