Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance of public facilities, parks, and infrastructure
- Operate light machinery and equipment safely and efficiently
- Respond to emergency service requests within designated timeframes
- Assist in stormwater management and environmental compliance
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on city projects
- Document work activities and maintain accurate records
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and municipal safety standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid California Class C driver's license
- Minimum 1 year experience in public works or maintenance
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in outdoor conditions
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and equipment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Preferred: OSHA certification or related coursework
