Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on city infrastructure including parks, streets, and public facilities
- Operate and maintain specialized equipment safely and efficiently
- Provide direct customer service to residents regarding municipal services and inquiries
- Assist in emergency response and disaster recovery operations as needed
- Conduct field inspections and report maintenance issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on public works projects
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and municipal regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid California Class C Driver's License
- Ability to pass background check and physical fitness assessment
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and equipment operation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and physical environments
- Preferred: 1+ years of public works or maintenance experience
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
