Responsibilities
- Answer emergency/non-emergency calls with professionalism and empathy
- Dispatch police/fire/EMS units using CAD systems and radio equipment
- Collect critical information and relay instructions during crises
- Maintain accurate call logs and incident documentation
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during large-scale emergencies
- Adhere to NIMS protocols and departmental procedures
- Perform data entry and system updates in real-time
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Valid Washington State driver's license
- Pass background check and polygraph examination
- Type 40+ WPM with high accuracy
- Ability to remain calm during high-stress situations
- Basic computer proficiency (Windows OS, CAD systems)
- U.S. citizenship or legal resident status
