Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including road maintenance, drainage system repairs, and sidewalk construction
- Operate heavy machinery such as excavators, loaders, and street sweepers under supervision
- Assist in public facility maintenance including parks, buildings, and recreational areas
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety protocols and city regulations
- Participate in emergency response operations during severe weather events
- Maintain accurate work logs and report equipment malfunctions
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 1 year construction or public works experience preferred
- Valid Arizona driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and construction materials
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred (training available)
- Pass background check and drug screening
