Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the department’s network infrastructure and hardware systems.
- Provide Tier 2 technical support and troubleshooting for state employees.
- Implement and monitor security protocols to ensure data integrity and compliance with state regulations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify technical requirements and optimize workflows.
- Conduct regular system audits and software updates to prevent vulnerabilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, or Cisco CCNA are highly preferred.
- Proven experience with network administration, cloud services, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Strong understanding of government IT compliance standards (NIST, FISMA).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical staff.
