Responsibilities
- Sort and Deliver: Sort mail and packages according to the route and deliver them to residential and business customers.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers to answer inquiries and resolve issues regarding mail delivery.
- Mail Handling: Collect and process incoming mail, including Certified Mail and packages requiring a signature.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment for yourself and the public.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform basic maintenance on the vehicle and mail handling equipment.
- Route Management: Efficiently manage time and route assignments to ensure timely delivery.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- License: Valid state driver's license (Class C) and a clean driving record.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift packages weighing up to 55 pounds and walk on various terrains throughout the day.
- Background Check: Must pass a background investigation and drug screening.
- Skills: Basic math skills for cash handling and route calculation; good computer literacy.
- Availability: Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
