As a City Carrier, you will play a vital role in connecting our communities by delivering mail and packages with speed and care. You will be the face of the USPS, ensuring our customers receive their important correspondence every day.
Responsibilities
- Deliver mail and parcels to customers along an assigned route in a safe, accurate, and timely manner.
- Sort and organize mail and packages prior to delivery.
- Interact professionally with customers to answer inquiries and provide exceptional service.
- Collect and process postage fees for Express Mail and Certified Mail.
- Perform vehicle checks and report any mechanical issues to management.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment throughout the route.
- Adhere to all USPS safety regulations and operational procedures.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to lift packages weighing up to 70 pounds repeatedly and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Ability to work in all types of weather conditions, including extreme heat and rain.
- Ability to pass a background investigation and a drug screening.
- Basic computer skills for logging deliveries and processing paperwork.
