Responsibilities
- Deliver mail and packages to residential and business customers along an assigned route in a safe, accurate, and timely manner.
- Sort and organize incoming mail and bundles before delivery and manage outgoing mail after delivery.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, including the delivery vehicle and route path.
- Interact professionally and courteously with all customers, resolving issues and answering inquiries.
- Follow all USPS safety regulations and operational procedures to ensure personal and public safety.
- Utilize automated scanning equipment to track and verify mail status.
- Occasionally assist with the preparation of bulk mailings or other facility tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or have permanent resident status.
- Must pass a background check and a pre-employment drug screen.
- Ability to lift packages weighing up to 70 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Valid driver's license is required (for City Carrier Associate positions).
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work independently.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and maintain physical stamina for walking and standing.
