Your Mission as a City Carrier Associate
In this role, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of mail and packages on an assigned route. You will interact directly with customers, ensuring that the USPS brand is represented with professionalism and courtesy.
Responsibilities
- Sort and deliver mail and packages efficiently along assigned routes using a USPS-provided vehicle.
- Interact professionally and courteously with customers while maintaining a positive brand image.
- Utilize handheld scanners and technology to ensure accurate delivery and data entry.
- Adhere to strict safety and security protocols while operating vehicles and handling mail.
- Perform physical duties, including walking, standing, bending, and lifting packages weighing up to 70 lbs.
- Manage time effectively to meet delivery targets and service standards.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. citizen or have permanent legal residency status (No H-1B visas).
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Physical ability to perform the essential functions of the job, including lifting and bending.
- Must be able to pass a medical examination, including a drug screen and motor vehicle records check.
