Job Overview
As a City Carrier, you will be responsible for the delivery of mail and packages to customers' homes and businesses. You will ensure the accurate sorting and timely delivery of mail, providing exceptional customer service along the way.
Responsibilities
- Sort mail and packages accurately before delivery.
- Deliver mail and packages to residential and business customers on an established route.
- Obtain signatures for certified, registered, and certified mail when required.
- Collect and process outgoing mail from post office boxes and customers.
- Maintain the security of the mail and equipment (vehicles, scanners, etc.).
- Adhere to all postal safety regulations and operating procedures.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or have permanent resident status.
- Valid driver's license (commercial not required, but must be able to operate a motor vehicle).
- Ability to lift packages weighing up to 70 lbs repeatedly.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions.
- Pass a background check and drug screening.
