Responsibilities
- Deliver mail and packages to residential and business customers along a prescribed route in a timely and accurate manner.
- Sort and process mail efficiently before the start of the delivery day to ensure maximum productivity.
- Interact professionally with customers to answer inquiries, provide directions, and resolve service issues.
- Follow strict safety protocols to ensure the security of mail and prevent theft or loss.
- Load and unload mail from vehicles, which may require walking, lifting packages weighing up to 70 lbs, and bending.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle and work area.
- Adhere to strict time schedules and delivery standards to ensure on-time service.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or have permanent resident status (Green Card).
- Must be able to pass a drug test and a criminal background check.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly for customer service and safety purposes.
- Valid driver's license is preferred but not always required for all positions.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions, including rain, heat, and cold.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift packages for extended periods.
