Responsibilities
- Deliver and Collect Mail: Safely and efficiently sort, load, and deliver mail and packages to customers' doorsteps along an assigned route.
- Customer Service: Provide professional and courteous service to all customers, including resolving inquiries and handling complaints with care.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the assigned vehicle (car or motorcycle) and perform routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Route Management: Follow established routes and schedules to ensure timely delivery while adhering to USPS safety regulations.
- Secure Delivery: Ensure the security of the mail, including the proper handling of registered and certified mail items.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen or have permanent resident status.
- Driver's License: A valid state driver's license is required (Class B Commercial Driver's License preferred).
- Education: A high school diploma or GED is generally required.
- Physical Ability: Must be able to lift packages up to 70 lbs and perform physical tasks in all weather conditions.
- Background Check: Must pass a background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle record check.
