Responsibilities
- Deliver Mail & Parcels: Sort, load, and deliver mail and packages along an assigned route in a timely and accurate manner.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers, answer inquiries, and resolve any delivery issues courteously.
- Vehicle Operation: Safely operate a delivery vehicle (car or truck) and perform vehicle inspections before and after routes.
- Mail Processing: Collect and process mail from collection boxes, post offices, and other sources.
- Route Management: Maintain accurate records of deliveries and follow established procedures for handling special items (e.g., certified, registered mail).
- Physical Stamina: Perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and walking for extended periods in various weather conditions.
Qualifications
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid Driver's License: Must possess a valid state driver's license and a safe driving record.
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen or have permanent resident status.
- Background Check: Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Physical Health: Must be able to lift packages weighing up to 70 lbs and stand/walk for long durations.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
