Responsibilities
- Deliver mail and packages to residential and commercial addresses along assigned routes
- Sort and organize mail according to delivery sequence and priority
- Operate and maintain delivery vehicles, ensuring safe operation and maintenance
- Obtain signatures for registered, certified, and insured mail items
- Process customer inquiries regarding mail services and delivery status
- Complete accurate delivery records and handle undeliverable mail according to procedures
- Operate automated delivery equipment and scanning devices
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and carry mail trays weighing up to 35 pounds
- Availability to work flexible hours including early mornings, weekends, and holidays
- Pass background check and pre-employment drug screening
- Basic computer literacy for scanning and tracking systems
- Ability to walk 5-8 miles daily in all weather conditions
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
