Responsibilities
- Sort, load, and deliver mail/packages along assigned routes using postal vehicles or walking
- Collect and process customer mail, parcels, and payments at residences/businesses
- Operate and maintain postal vehicles safely in urban environments
- Complete delivery manifests and report irregularities via handheld devices
- Provide courteous service to customers and resolve delivery inquiries
- Adhere to USPS safety protocols and delivery time standards
- Assist in mail processing facilities during peak periods
Qualifications
- US citizenship or permanent resident status
- Valid driver's license (required for vehicle operations)
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs repeatedly
- Basic English literacy and math skills
- Availability for flexible scheduling including weekends/holidays
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Physical stamina for walking 5-8 hours daily in all weather conditions
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
