Responsibilities
- Deliver mail and packages to residential and commercial addresses along assigned routes
- Sort and organize mail efficiently according to USPS standards and delivery sequences
- Operate delivery vehicles safely and maintain proper vehicle maintenance records
- Interact professionally with customers, providing assistance and resolving delivery inquiries
- Collect and process postage, fees, and accountable mail as required
- Adhere to strict delivery timeframes and performance metrics
- Report delivery issues, hazards, or suspicious activities to supervisors
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status with valid work authorization
- Valid state driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
- Availability to work in all weather conditions and early morning hours
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic computer literacy for scanning and tracking systems
- Strong customer service orientation and communication skills
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
