Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize VA healthcare IT systems including EHR platforms and cybersecurity protocols
- Provide Tier 3 technical support for 150+ medical devices and network infrastructure
- Implement HIPAA-compliant data security measures and disaster recovery plans
- Coordinate with VA medical centers across Central Valley for system upgrades
- Train staff on new IT systems and compliance requirements
- Document system configurations and create technical SOPs
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and active security clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years experience with healthcare IT systems (EHR, PACS, VistA)
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent cybersecurity certification
- Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, and virtualization
- Familiarity with FedRAMP and NIST cybersecurity frameworks
- Ability to obtain and maintain VA background clearance
