Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care including medication administration, wound care, and treatment coordination
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Document clinical observations and patient progress using electronic health records
- Educate patients and families on health conditions and self-management strategies
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice projects
- Maintain compliance with federal healthcare regulations and VA protocols
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of California
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program
- Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience in acute care setting
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Demonstrated experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Ability to work rotating shifts and adapt to changing patient needs
- Strong communication skills and commitment to veteran-centered care
