Responsibilities
- Process veterans' claims and benefits applications with 98% accuracy
- Conduct eligibility assessments for VA healthcare programs
- Collaborate with medical teams to coordinate veteran care plans
- Provide crisis intervention for veterans in urgent situations
- Maintain confidential records in compliance with federal regulations
- Represent the VA at community outreach events
- Train junior staff on VA policy and procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Social Work, or related field
- Minimum 2 years' experience in veterans services or healthcare
- Active security clearance or ability to obtain one
- Proficiency in VA claims processing systems (VBMS, VBA)
- Knowledge of 38 CFR regulations
- Crisis intervention certification preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours including occasional weekends
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills highly valued
