Responsibilities
- Manage veteran benefit applications and claims processing with 99% accuracy
- Coordinate healthcare access and support services for veterans across Middle Tennessee
- Conduct eligibility assessments and provide personalized benefit counseling
- Collaborate with community partners to expand veteran support networks
- Maintain detailed case records in VA systems while ensuring HIPAA compliance
- Represent VA at community outreach events and veteran-focused initiatives
- Analyze regional veteran demographics to inform service delivery improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Social Work, or related field
- Minimum 3 years experience in veteran services or federal benefits administration
- Proficiency with VA systems (VBMS, VBA) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to travel within the region
- Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain)
- VA Form 10-2850 application required
- Knowledge of federal regulations (38 CFR) and veteran benefit programs
