Responsibilities
- Coordinate healthcare services and benefits for veterans, ensuring timely access to critical resources
- Manage veteran records and maintain compliance with federal healthcare regulations
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop personalized care plans
- Conduct outreach programs to connect veterans with available VA services
- Analyze veteran needs and recommend policy improvements for service delivery
- Provide crisis intervention and support for veterans facing medical or housing challenges
- Train staff on veteran-specific healthcare protocols and best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, social work, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in veteran services or federal healthcare
- Knowledge of VA healthcare systems and federal regulations (38 CFR)
- Certification in Veterans Health Administration (VHA) programs preferred
- Strong communication skills for interacting with veterans and stakeholders
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems (e.g., VistA)
- U.S. citizenship and eligibility for federal security clearance
