Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize electronic health record (EHR) systems for 30+ clinical departments
- Implement HIPAA-compliant security protocols across VA IT infrastructure
- Lead cross-functional teams on healthcare technology integration projects
- Provide Tier 3 technical support for clinical software and medical devices
- Develop training materials for 500+ healthcare staff on new IT systems
- Coordinate with VA network engineers to ensure system reliability
- Analyze healthcare data trends to improve veteran care outcomes
Qualifications
- GS-11 level experience in federal IT systems administration
- Certification in VA-specific EHR systems (e.g., VistA)
- Expert knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare data security standards
- Demonstrated project management for clinical technology deployments
- Experience with FISMA compliance frameworks
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Active DoD security clearance or ability to obtain one
