Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain electronic health record systems (EHR) including Cerner and VistA platforms
- Support HIPAA-compliant data security protocols and cybersecurity initiatives
- Provide technical guidance for clinical software implementations and upgrades
- Collaborate with healthcare staff to resolve system issues affecting patient care
- Develop documentation for IT processes and system configurations
- Participate in federal IT audits and compliance reviews
- Train staff on new technology implementations and best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Health Informatics, or related field
- 3+ years experience with healthcare IT systems implementation
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent cybersecurity certification
- Experience with federal IT security frameworks (NIST, FISMA)
- Proficiency in database management (SQL, Oracle)
- Strong problem-solving skills with healthcare technology
- Ability to obtain and maintain federal background clearance
- Knowledge of VA healthcare systems preferred
