Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on city roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate heavy machinery (street sweepers, dump trucks, mowers) safely and efficiently
- Respond to emergency weather-related infrastructure repairs
- Conduct park maintenance including landscaping, equipment repairs, and facility upkeep
- Inspect public assets and document maintenance activities using digital reporting tools
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on infrastructure improvement projects
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years of equipment operation or maintenance experience
- Certification in hazardous materials handling preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic proficiency with digital work order systems
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Background check and pre-employment physical required
