Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility regulations with vigilance
- Conduct regular security inspections and headcounts
- Respond to emergencies and de-escalate conflicts using approved protocols
- Document incidents and maintain accurate logs/reports
- Transport inmates between facilities as scheduled
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during joint operations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Kansas driver's license
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Basic first aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work weekends and holidays consistently
- Physical stamina for standing/walking long shifts
