Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility protocols during weekend shifts
- Conduct regular security checks and headcounts to maintain safety standards
- Respond to emergencies and incidents using de-escalation techniques
- Document incidents and maintain accurate shift reports
- Collaborate with law enforcement and healthcare teams during interventions
- Operate security systems and perimeter controls
- Provide crisis intervention and conflict resolution support
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Colorado driver's license
- Ability to work rotating weekends and holidays
- Pass background check and physical fitness assessment
- Basic first aid/CPR certification (or obtain within 30 days)
- Experience in security, law enforcement, or corrections preferred
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
