Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility protocols to ensure safety and security
- Conduct regular perimeter checks and surveillance rounds using advanced monitoring systems
- Respond to emergencies including medical incidents, disturbances, and security breaches
- Document daily operations, incident reports, and inmate behavior in compliance with state regulations
- Collaborate with medical, counseling, and administrative teams during weekend operations
- Implement rehabilitation programs and educational activities for inmates
- Participate in continuous training on crisis intervention and modern correctional techniques
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required; associate's degree preferred
- Minimum 21 years of age with valid Ohio driver's license
- Ability to obtain Ohio Peace Officer Training Commission (OPOTC) certification
- Clear background check, drug test, and physical fitness assessment
- Strong conflict resolution skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
- Proficiency in using surveillance technology and reporting systems
- Valid CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Experience in law enforcement, corrections, or security highly desirable
