Responsibilities
- Provide advanced technical troubleshooting and support for hardware, software, and network infrastructure during weekend shifts.
- Monitor server health and system performance to ensure high availability of state applications.
- Respond to emergency service tickets and resolve critical IT issues within established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Assist in the deployment and maintenance of workstations and peripherals for state employees.
- Document all technical interventions and maintain accurate logs for auditing purposes.
- Collaborate with on-call staff during weekday hours to ensure seamless handovers.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support, help desk, or systems administration.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Familiarity with networking concepts, VPNs, and remote access tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a State of Massachusetts background check and security clearance.
