Responsibilities
- Conduct park patrols and visitor safety enforcement in designated Los Angeles state parks
- Deliver interpretive programs and educational workshops on local ecosystems and conservation
- Manage park operations including visitor center staffing and campground oversight
- Enforce park regulations and provide emergency response support as needed
- Collaborate with law enforcement and maintenance teams for park infrastructure upkeep
- Maintain detailed incident reports and visitor statistics
- Lead guided nature walks and recreational activities for diverse visitor groups
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree in environmental science or related field preferred
- Minimum 2 years experience in park operations, conservation, or public safety
- Valid California Driver's License and clean driving record
- First Aid/CPR certification and wilderness responder training
- Strong communication skills with multilingual abilities (Spanish/Chinese highly valued)
- Ability to work independently in outdoor environments with variable weather conditions
- Knowledge of California native flora, fauna, and conservation policies
- Experience with visitor management systems and park software
