Responsibilities
- Process and verify weekend pension disbursement requests and retirement applications with 100% accuracy.
- Review and audit pension plan documentation to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service to retirees and government employees regarding their pension status and weekend inquiries.
- Update and maintain secure electronic records for the pension database during off-peak hours.
- Collaborate with the full-time team to resolve complex eligibility issues identified during the weekend shift.
- Assist in the preparation of weekly reports on pension activity and claim volumes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in government administration, pension processing, or financial services.
- Deep understanding of retirement plans, Social Security, and government benefit structures.
- Must be available to work alternating weekends (e.g., Saturday/Sunday or Sunday/Monday) on a recurring basis.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word) and experience with database management systems.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
