Responsibilities
- Patrol assigned city zones during weekends to maintain public safety and order
- Respond to emergency calls and incidents with rapid deployment protocols
- Conduct routine inspections of public facilities and parks during weekend hours
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during large weekend events
- Document incidents and submit detailed digital reports within 24 hours
- Provide community outreach and education during weekend public programs
- Operate city vehicles and specialized safety equipment per certification
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree preferred
- Valid Massachusetts driver's license with clean record
- Ability to work Saturdays and Sundays (5am-1pm or 1pm-9pm shifts)
- Basic EMT or CPR certification required within 90 days of hire
- Previous public safety or security experience preferred
- Strong communication skills and conflict resolution abilities
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and operate in various weather conditions
- Must pass background check and drug screening
