Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility security protocols during weekend shifts
- Conduct routine inspections of living quarters, work areas, and recreational spaces
- Respond to emergencies and incidents per departmental procedures
- Document incidents, disciplinary actions, and daily logs using digital systems
- Collaborate with weekend shift teams on facility operations and safety initiatives
- Participate in weekend transport and movement operations as assigned
- Maintain accurate records of property, contraband, and incident reports
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid California Driver's License
- Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and physical fitness assessment
- Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation skills
- Basic computer proficiency for digital reporting systems
- Ability to work rotating weekends and holidays
- Successful completion of state-mandated correctional officer training
- US citizenship or legal permanent residency status
