Responsibilities
- Monitor and supervise inmate activities during weekend shifts to ensure facility security
- Conduct regular perimeter checks and security inspections
- Respond to incidents and emergencies with de-escalation techniques
- Maintain accurate logs and incident reports
- Process inmate admissions and releases according to protocols
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during weekend operations
- Participate in continuous training programs for professional development
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) certification preferred
- Ability to work rotating weekend schedules (Fri-Sun)
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean record
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Basic computer proficiency for reporting systems
