Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive citizen assistance via phone, email, and in-person inquiries during weekend shifts
- Process and validate municipal permits, licenses, and service requests with strict adherence to protocols
- Coordinate emergency response protocols and escalate critical issues to on-call supervisors
- Maintain accurate digital records in government databases ensuring compliance with privacy regulations
- Collaborate with weekday teams to ensure continuity of services and seamless information transfer
- Conduct routine facility inspections and report maintenance needs across city properties
- Support community outreach initiatives including weekend events and public service announcements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 2 years in customer service or government operations with weekend availability
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and government database systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
- Valid California Driver's License with clean driving record
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish highly preferred
- Ability to obtain and maintain required government security clearance
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with demonstrated crisis management experience
- Knowledge of California municipal codes and regulatory frameworks
