Responsibilities
- Manage weekend citizen inquiries via phone, email, and in-person channels at the City Hall reception desk
- Coordinate weekend municipal service requests including facility access, event permits, and emergency response support
- Process and document administrative tasks including permits, applications, and service requests
- Collaborate with weekend emergency response teams and municipal service departments
- Conduct weekend facility inspections and safety compliance checks
- Update citizen service databases and maintain accurate record-keeping systems
- Support weekend community events and public outreach initiatives
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field (Bachelor's preferred)
- Minimum 2 years experience in customer service or government administration
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to de-escalate sensitive situations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and government service software
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during weekends
- Familiarity with Austin municipal services and local regulations
- Flexibility to work rotating weekend shifts including holidays
