Responsibilities
- Patrol park grounds during weekend shifts to ensure visitor safety and compliance with park regulations
- Conduct educational programs and guided tours on weekends for diverse community groups
- Monitor park ecosystems and report maintenance issues to facilities management
- Respond to emergency situations and provide first aid as needed during weekend operations
- Assist with special weekend events and recreational programming coordination
- Maintain detailed incident reports and visitor statistics for weekend operations
- Collaborate with law enforcement during weekend high-traffic periods
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree in Environmental Science preferred
- Texas Peace Officer License (TCLEOSE) or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Certification in First Aid, CPR, and Emergency Response
- Valid Texas Class C driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to work flexible weekend schedule (Saturday/Sunday 7am-7pm)
- Experience in outdoor recreation, conservation, or public safety
- Strong communication skills with ability to engage diverse audiences
- Physical ability to traverse uneven terrain and perform outdoor duties
