As a key member of our Innovation Ethics Council, you'll lead cross-functional initiatives to embed ethical governance into product lifecycles, conduct risk assessments for emerging AI applications, and collaborate with global regulators to shape future standards. You'll mentor a team of ethics specialists while representing Nexus at industry forums on AI accountability.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement ethical governance frameworks for AI systems deployed by 2026
- Lead cross-functional audits of AI models for bias, fairness, and transparency
- Develop regulatory compliance strategies anticipating 2026 AI legislation
- Create educational programs for engineering teams on responsible AI development
- Partner with product teams to embed ethical-by-design principles
- Represent Nexus at global AI ethics summits and policy discussions
- Establish metrics for measuring AI's societal impact and ethical performance
Qualifications
- PhD in Ethics, Philosophy, AI Policy, or related field with 5+ years applied experience
- Proven track record in AI governance or regulatory compliance (FAANG/Big Tech preferred)
- Deep expertise in EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, and emerging global AI regulations
- Published research on algorithmic bias mitigation or explainable AI
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience leading ethics teams in high-growth tech environments
- Fluency in ethical frameworks (utilitarianism, deontology, virtue ethics)
- Strong public speaking and thought leadership capabilities
