Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams to develop and execute 2026 innovation roadmaps across AI, quantum computing, and biotechnology sectors
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify emerging technologies with 3-5 year commercialization potential
- Translate futuristic concepts into actionable business models with measurable ROI projections
- Secure and manage $5M+ annual innovation budgets across experimental projects
- Present strategic blueprints to C-suite and board stakeholders for high-stakes decision-making
- Establish KPIs to track innovation pipeline velocity and market disruption metrics
- Mentor junior futurists in strategic foresight methodologies and risk assessment frameworks
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic innovation, R&D leadership, or technology consulting with proven 2020+ impact
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Innovation Management (PhD preferred)
- Portfolio of successfully commercialized future-facing technologies
- Expertise in emerging tech domains: quantum algorithms, synthetic biology, or AGI safety frameworks
- Proficiency in scenario planning tools (e.g., Delphi method, cross-impact matrix analysis)
- Track record of securing multi-million dollar innovation grants or venture funding
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals or industry whitepapers
- Security clearance eligibility for classified research collaborations
