Responsibilities
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls and emails with professionalism and efficiency.
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records in city databases and filing systems.
- Greet visitors and assist with inquiries, directing them to the appropriate departments.
- Prepare, proofread, and distribute memos, reports, and correspondence.
- Assist in coordinating meetings, scheduling, and maintaining department calendars.
- Perform general clerical duties such as copying, scanning, and shredding confidential documents.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; some college coursework in Business Administration or a related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in an office or customer service environment is preferred but not required for entry-level candidates.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic computer skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse populations.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
