Responsibilities
- Manage daily office operations including scheduling, correspondence, and record maintenance
- Process veterans' benefits paperwork with meticulous attention to detail and compliance
- Coordinate meetings, travel arrangements, and logistics for departmental staff
- Utilize federal databases (e.g., VA systems) for data entry and document management
- Provide frontline support to veterans and their families via phone and in-person inquiries
- Assist with budget tracking, procurement requests, and inventory management
- Support special projects related to veteran outreach and service coordination
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship (required for federal employment)
- High school diploma or GED; associate's degree preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with ability to handle confidential information
