Responsibilities
- Manage departmental calendars, scheduling appointments, and coordinating logistics for state officials
- Process confidential documents and maintain digital filing systems with strict compliance protocols
- Respond to public inquiries via phone/email with accurate information about state programs
- Prepare reports, correspondence, and official communications using Microsoft Office Suite
- Coordinate cross-agency projects and track deliverables using project management tools
- Assist with budget tracking and expense reporting for departmental operations
- Support hiring processes including posting announcements and screening applications
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of administrative experience in government or regulated industry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Workspace
- Valid California driver's license or ability to use public transit independently
- US citizenship or legal authorization to work in the United States
- Ability to pass background check and fingerprint clearance for state employment
- Associate degree or 60 semester units from accredited institution
- Experience with public records retention and confidentiality protocols
