Responsibilities
- Manage high-volume incoming communications, including emails, phone calls, and in-person inquiries with professionalism and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate and organized digital and physical filing systems for departmental records.
- Assist the public with administrative processes, ensuring strict compliance with city policies and procedures.
- Prepare, proofread, and distribute internal memos, meeting agendas, and minutes.
- Perform accurate data entry and updates to various databases to ensure information integrity.
- Support the department head and staff with special projects and ad-hoc administrative tasks.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required; an Associate’s degree in Business Administration or Public Service is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of clerical or administrative experience in a government or public sector environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Workspace.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse populations.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive government information.
