Responsibilities
- Manage departmental records, files, and documentation with strict adherence to government protocols
- Process weekly payroll and expense reports for 15+ personnel
- Coordinate public meetings, including scheduling, minute-taking, and agenda preparation
- Respond to citizen inquiries via phone, email, and in-person with professionalism
- Assist with procurement processes and vendor contract management
- Maintain accurate databases and generate weekly performance reports
- Support cross-departmental projects as assigned by senior leadership
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred
- Minimum 2 years of administrative experience in government or public sector
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong knowledge of Texas public records retention laws
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
- Valid Texas driver's license
- U.S. citizenship required for government compliance
