Responsibilities
- Process citizen inquiries and provide accurate information regarding state programs and services
- Maintain digital and physical records with strict compliance to state confidentiality protocols
- Coordinate departmental scheduling, meetings, and travel arrangements using state systems
- Assist with budget tracking and expense report processing using CalPERS-approved software
- Support cross-agency communication initiatives under DGS guidelines
- Prepare routine correspondence and reports using Microsoft Office Suite
- Participate in weekly performance reviews with direct supervisor
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred
- Minimum 1 year experience in administrative/clerical roles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and state databases
- Valid California Driver's License for occasional inter-office travel
- Ability to pass fingerprint-based background check per CA Gov Code
- Typing speed minimum 45 WPM with 95% accuracy
- Knowledge of California Public Records Act requirements
- Must be available for 30-40 hour weekly schedule
